Have you ever done language profiles with your students?

It one of my favourite things to start the year with. It’s such a great way to begin getting to know your students: the abundant resources and experiences they bring to learning.

This resources has three different language profile templates:

1. Body outline template: suitable for all age groups and allows the broadest interpretation
2. People and activities tables: suitable for grade 2 and up, this gives specific contexts and people students may connect their languages to
3. Venn diagram: suitable for all age groups, students can focus their thinking on their two dominant languages.

The resource also gives lesson suggestions and a list of further readings.
